Dan was born in Chicago, grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of the city and joined Shaw Media in 2008. After leaving for a year in 2010 for an editor and producer role, Dan returned to Shaw Media as the Director of Video in 2012. Dan’s video career has included advertising, short film, educational, broadcast, sports, marketing, wedding, corporate, and postmodernist filmmaking. Dan’s talents has allowed him to work with media outlets such as ESPN, Comcast Sportsnet, Fox Sports, and Weigel Broadcasting outside of Shaw Media.
Dan is a 2008 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Multimedia Art, where he studied motion graphics, animation, and design, along with video editing and production. Dan is excited to use SMM as a way to help businesses communicate their message through video and help increase their sales and service.
Outside of the office, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, playing drums, collecting vinyl records, and freelancing video projects and graphic design.

I have played drums for over 20 years.

Storytelling and visualizing a concept from start to completion.

The Chicago Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, & Bulls, NIU Huskie Football, Northwestern Football, NASCAR / Martin Truex Jr., and Golf.
Favorite TV Show/Movie
There is too much good TV currently being produced between network comedies, and Netflix/Hulu originals. The Simpsons classics seasons 1-10 is right up there with the greats. Favorite movies include Laurel & Hardy shorts, and plenty of comedies that there are too many to mention.
